Wendy Little
Wendy Little is an artist, musician, and writer based in Los Angeles. Little's influences include Claude Monet, Louise Joséphine Bourgeois, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and HR Giger. Little was most recently a Resident Artist at The Hive Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. She is a member of the Los Angeles Center of Photography, as well as the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Los Angeles.
Her affection for classic horror films proved beneficial when the Bram Stoker Estate commissioned her to create the artwork for the Bram Stoker Centenary in Dublin, Ireland. She is a Dracula fan, so she especially enjoyed this project. She was also awarded "Best Horror Art" at the Paranormal Awards in New England.
Little was born and raised in Indiana. She attended the Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music. She plays both the piano and violin. After graduating from Berklee, Little moved to London, England, where she was a studio musician and music journalist. Her passion for photography truly developed during this time. Little’s artistic vision continues to evolve. She has been interlacing her photography with her paintings to imagine new and unique narratives. Little enjoys the realism of a photograph paired with the ethereal mood created by paint. She prefers viewers to conceptualize their own stories when looking at her artwork. In her free time she can be found volunteering for animal rights organizations.
